Mrs. Carol Machulak- 2B

It is an honor and privilege to be a part of the ChristKing Faculty. My husband Ed and I have been parish members since 1980 and we live in Wauwatosa. Both of our daughters graduated from CK School. Our older daughter, Jeanine, is married and lives with her husband, Tom, in Elm Grove, WI. Our younger daughter, Emily, attends Marquette University.

We enjoy family get-togethers, going to movies, dinners with friends, and traveling together. We have three dogs, Bumpkin, Buddy, and Ginger. I believe in Catholic education both as a teacher and a parent. All of my teaching years have been at Milwaukee Archdiocesan Catholic Schools. Teaching in a Catholic School gives me the opportunity to share my faith, and to bring Catholic Christian teachings and values into all curricular areas. One of the highlights of the year is helping parents and preparing students for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. This is truly a “teachable moment” whereby a child can deepen his/her relationship with Jesus and experience God’s love and forgiveness. It is a wonderful opportunity to bond with the students and parents who are the first teachers of their child’s faith. Children are the future of the Church and I believe in giving my students many age-appropriate opportunities to pray, act out Gospel stories, participate at Liturgy, and learn how to use their God given gifts and talents. I truly believe second grade is the best grade. The students are curious, creative, so eager to learn, and fun to be with! I believe that there are many ways to learn. I enjoy using a variety of methods, materials, and activities to make learning fun, and to help each child develop his/her potential. On-going communication between the student and teacher, and between the teacher and parents is essential for a successful and rewarding school year for everyone.

I enjoy accompanying my students on the “Super Second Grade “learning adventure and supporting their parents on their parenting adventure. I am proud to be a part of their vibrant, active faith and school community.
