My name is Carrie Dykstra and I have been happily teaching art since 1995. I received my undergraduate degree in art education from the University of WI-Milwaukee. I enjoy being at CK very much because I not only get to share my love of art history, media and processes, but I get to teach children about the beauty of God’s world reflected in art. I live in Horicon very near to the Horicon marsh which is quite beautiful and peaceful. My husband and I built our home in 2004 and now have three active children who are all blessings. When I am not busy with art I enjoy gardening, reading and playing.

My favorite painters (besides so many kindergarteners) are John Singer Sargeant, Paul Klee, and Pierre Bernard.
