Accreditation Visit
Our school was visited on November 22, 2008. On that day a team of educators from the Archdiocese, along with Sue Nelson from the Archdiocese, visited our school. They spoke with all faculty members, the parish staff, student council representatives and some parents from the Home and School Association, the School Committee and the Athletic Committee.
This committee also reviewed all the documentation that we had prepared which included such topics as:
• Our foundation statements which included our mission statement
• Communication and community relations
• Climate of the school and the classroom
• Leadership and governance
• Our resources which included personnel, financial and physical plant
• Learning and teaching including curriculum, strategies and structure
• Materials and resources for learning --- technology and instructional materials
• Student services --- extra curricular and sports
• Strategies for school improvement
• Catholic Identity as requested specifically by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee
In late January, Christ King School received the documentation from the team and were awarded Accreditation from both the Wisconsin Religious and Independent School Association (WRISA) and the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
